Made of black polyester, this thobe is embroidered using cotton-silk threads that are mainly orange and yellow with some other bright colours. The motifs are geometric in the form of squares with 8-pointed stars inside the square, and the “reesh”; which means feathers in Arabic, can be seen in each corner of the square. The yellow dividing lines add a beautiful detail to the thobe.

Embroidery covers the entire sides of the thobe, whereas the sleeves are embroidered in a straight line. The chest panel is small in size and carries the same patterns, with an outline sewn in silk threads. The lower back hem is embroidered in the shape of a horizontal strip that is over 30 cm in height, using the same patterns as well.

Finally, the back and front shoulders are embroidered using “Al-Laf” and “Al-Tehshaya” stitches on a piece of purple cotton fabric.

The belt is made of striped cashmere fabric
