Area: Beit Nabala-Al Ramla
Made of black cotton and polyester, this thobe was named after the fabric that was used in the making of this thobe up until 1948.
It is distinguished for the heavy embroidery on its sides, lower back hem, the chest and sleeves. Embroidery also covers large parts of the frontal and back areas of the thobe. Patterns vary using floral formations and geometrical shapes. The embroidery on the chest is in harmony with the lower back hem as well.
The shoulder is covered with striped cashmere fabric bordered with pieces of triangular-shaped fabric called ‘Tashareef’, in colors harmonious with the silk threads used in the embroidery of the thobe.
The belt is made of the same cashmere fabric used for the shoulders
The shawl is off-white adorned with a piece of cashmere
