Made of black polyester and red cotton, this thobe is embroidered using silk-cotton threads that are mostly red with the use of some other bright colors.
The embroidered motifs appear in different floral and geometric shapes. The chest panel, sides and sleeves are done in triangular shapes called “Hijabat”, whereas the lower back hem is embroiderd horizontally.
Pieces of colorful satin fabric are embroidered using the same patterns and attached to the thobe by stitching the edges of the satin fabric in small triangles called “tashareef”, which can be seen on the chest panel as well.
The outline of the thobe and the sleeves are also embroidered in beautiful motifs.
